Feminism in the world-the Third wave

During the class we watched movie and The Second Wave described woman's life back to late 20th century. However, there have been multiple feminism represented the efforts of women to live which were get into women's life in the world. Moreover, compare with late 20th century(which we talked about it) and 2012 are a lot of changed. Nowadays, we knows as the Third Wave of American feminism. American women have come through the first wave of feminism. Which is won by the right to vote through the long battles of the suffrage movement. Also, we have learned about during the 1970’s involved recognition of domestic violence, sexual assault, equal pay for equal work and reproductive choice in the second wave of feminism. In class we want to talk about what is the function of revolution and what is revolution in 2012. I guess this questions following with or continuing on the the third wave. The third wave are movements for social justice, the feminism of this millennium works to improve the lives of women in every aspect. Also, important movement is social reforming. For example, in my home country which is South Korea, they have two major party which are the progression party(Minjoodang) and the conservative party(Hannaradang). Last month and last week have vote for representative of party. Both party are selected woman representatives. As we can see and also my opinion too, the world are moving on the third wave and it is good for movement of various forms of oppression, including sexism, classism, racism, homophobia, war, and globalization.
