Women feel the need to perfect themselves to be more appealing to men, but who has set this standard and why is it not the other way around. Being from the Middle East, in Lebanon it is actually a craze, where women WANT to get plastic surgery and want to look perfect. In their mindset, they want to be the prettiest Arabs. They apply tons of make up to add to their glowing look. So I ask is it wrong for these women to want to be the prettiest in their region or should they sit back and embrace what god has given them.
On a complete other note, I was reading an article on BBC, where a man was given a completely new facial transplant because of a gun shot injury to hit face where he lost his nose, lips and teeth. With this reconstructive surgery he looks a better man, and is actually more happy with his life after surgery. So again I ask how wrong is it, when you are just not happy with the way you look?
