Chase the fear from our mind
With the big shinny slogan “opposing racial discrimination!” in head, the fear to African-American still occupy our hearts. The last scenes in the movie Crash depicted this emotion. The young policeman who hates racist views killed a black man whom he offered a lift at night. He raised the gun because he considered it as menace as the black man was trying to pick up something from pocket. In his subconscious, the racism still exists. “White America has suffered from a deep uncertainty as who African-Americans really are.” With media's mass depiction of African-American involving in drug, violence, we certainly relate African-American with crime. As we pay little bit more attention to black community, we find the truth was totally different from depiction. In order to chase the fear from our mind, media should take the responsibility to report in accuracy and without bias.
